There was a man who found himself lost out among the rocks and cactuses of a semi-barren desert.
He had been out there for a long time and thought he knew the landscape well enough to know his way.
He knew where to find the water needed to quench his thirst and the best places to set his traps.
Of all the rocks big and small, he knew which gave the best shadows from the heat of the day.
The time of the sun as it rose and when its heat would pierce the cold that had embraced him overnight.
He knew the barren desert well for it was his home, a place that he’d chosen for himself.
Aware of all the dangers that it harbored, from the tiniest of the spiders to the snakes and scorpions.
And so it was that much harder for him to understand how could he have become lost in the land he thought he knew so well.
And in the same way, we tend to see things as they go beyond our control and we become lost about what we should do. All the planning was for naught, and the firmness of the foundation has revealed its fractures, and we try to repair what we can. We are not masters of our destiny any more than we can turn back time or control events to our perfection.
When one nation provides logistics and training for men to wage acts of terror on another people, do they honestly believe that the organization will stay within their control? When one nation has nuclear capabilities, how long will it be before others have them too? And when a chemical lab has created a virus that could wipe out millions, how long will the genie remain corked? You could say that man has then lost his way.
When a country says that a marriage can be between people of the same-sex, have they not diluted the family and legalized perversion? And when a state legalizes child prostitution, is not the door open for pedophiles? And when a man can have two wives or more, has not then polygamy taken root and thrusts its lustful branches high for all to see?
When such things take place, then it becomes clear that said land has lost its way despite knowing that those things done will deliver a country into ruin. It doesn’t matter how powerful economically or militarily it is; its ruin is inevitable as history has proven many times over because the rot comes from within and not without. How many civilizations lie buried beneath the jungles or sands or another built on their ruins? How many voices from the past have cried out to us, warning us not to do the things that will bring a nation to ruin? Do you not think that in those past days they were also confronted with the same threats as we today? The same temptations, lusts, and desires? The same breed of corruption and consumer consumption as we have today? The same military prowess and terror and so on? The only difference being the technological advancements that are being achieved.
The problems that we have today come from the heart, and that is why we are never able to overpower the demons within because it is in our DNA, our character, and it forms the way we act, think, create and, yes, destroy. We laugh and cry, we pity and yet exercise wrath, we talk of peace and wage war, and we learn but don’t learn for we are always repeating the past. Has it never occurred to you that we live in cycles? Repetition regulates our lives and habits formed will not be broken, evidence of circular living or repetitive history even as we expand out technological abilities! And all that we have learned will be forgotten as the next generation takes its place only to continue riding the carnival train.
At some point, everything had a beginning because evolution, if true, would not be resting in one place and man would have long ago been beyond this stage. So I would reject evolution because it has done nothing to or for the man in any sense except to waste his mind on billions of years of foolish fancies that have as of yet to produce any substantial facts worthy of note.
So what causes the man to continue running in this circle of depravity and beauty? Why does he with one hand, flick the trigger to blow himself to pieces along with others and yet on with the other create beautiful works of art? What reason would a graceful and intelligent woman give to lowering herself to high-class prostitution and yet, acquire a degree in philosophy? And why do we call life sacred when we are busy exterminating it?
All these questions could be summed up in one word, sin. A word that the world hates because it demands accountability and men do not want to be held accountable to any but themselves, as though he were a god! But he is not a God but mere flesh and blood with the whisper of intelligence to accompany him through this fragile life. A cycle that until now has always gone its way unimpeded and destructive, supported by the hands and minds of men and women.
If we could only be honest with ourselves and listen to reason, then we would know why we act and think the way we do. The man is in a state of rebellion against the laws and commandments of a living God who created the man. Madness many would say or ridiculous cry others, and still, the truth cannot be denied! Our actions are indicative of our state of mind or a split personality if you will or how else would you explain the ability to do both good and evil in one person? You can’t without defining the parameters and so how would you go about doing that? By creating your own based upon studied logic or applied psychology that has been formed by the very minds one seeks to penetrate? Or perhaps through the writings of the world’s greatest thinkers who were using their interpretations created in their minds?
However, either way you may choose to look, the results are the same. The mind of man cannot solve the problems he faces because they are based on sin or rebellion, and it is in the heart and mind of man! Sin is our inheritance, our pedigree of violence and beauty and our ultimate act of refusal to accept the Creator of all living things and his authority over all of mankind.
Of course, you are free to think and act as you wish for the present, but I can assure you that it will not become better because the man will continue to live in a state of rebellion, as he always has. The results are uniformly predictable, and the reasons are never-changing which is why the man will not learn, nor is he able to, no matter how mightily he may strive. Rebellion is at the heart of the matter. And until that is accepted and understood, then history will be a continuous cycle of repetition, life and death and no hope of betterment. But will man learn to accept the ways of God or will he stay in his state of open hostility to his creator? For the time being, he will not repent nor seek God, but he will look to himself and find other “gods” who will accommodate his penchant for sin.
I will quote for you, my readers, the letter that the prophet Habakkuk wrote so very long ago. In part, the letter was to warn Israel of their coming judgment at the hands of the Chaldeans, but also to us is this letter addressed. It makes it evidently clear that the time is approaching for the Lord God to return and to punish the nations and people for their wickedness and rebellion. It would do you very good to read it and to think about where you wish to be on the day that is coming.
The burden which Habakkuk the prophet saw. O Lord, how long shall I cry and You will not hear? I cry out to You of violence, and You do not save! Why do You show me wickedness, and trouble? For destruction and violence are before me; and there is strife, and contention rises up. Therefore the law has become ineffective, and judgment does not always go forth, for the wicked entraps the righteous; therefore judgment goes forth perverted.
“Look among the nations, and behold and be amazed and stunned; for I will work a work in your days which you will not believe, not even if it is declared to you. For lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land to possess dwelling places that are not their own. They are terrible and fearful; their law and their majesty proceed from themselves. Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves. And their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from afar. They shall fly like the vulture hurrying to devour.
All of them shall come for violence; their faces are set sternly as the east wind; and they gather captives like the sand. And they shall scoff at the kings, and the rulers shall be a scorn to them. They shall laugh at every at every stronghold, for they shall heap up dust and capture it. Then he sweeps on like the wind, and he trangresses and is guilty, crediting his power to his god.”
Are You not from everlasting, O Lord my God, my Holy One? We shall not die. O Lord, You have ordained them for judgment; and, my Rock, You have established them for correction. You are of purer eyes than to behold evil, and cannot look upon iniquity. Why do You look upon those who do treacherously? Will You be silent when the wicked swallows the man that is more righteous than he? For You make man like the fish of the sea, like creeping things with no ruler over them.
He takes up all of them with the hook; he catches them with his net and gathers them with his dragnet; therefore he rejoices and exults. Therefore he sacrifices to his net and burns incense to his dragnet; because by them his portion is fat and his food rich. Shall he therefore empty his net, and shall he slay nations without pity?
I will stand on my watch and set myself on the tower, and will watch to see what He will say to me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the Lord answered me and said, “Write the vision, and make it plain on the tablets, so that a man may read it swiftly, For the vision is still for an appointed time, but it shall speak at the end, and it does not lie. Though it lingers, wait for it; because it will surely come. It will not delay.
Behold, his soul is puffed up, and is not upright; but the just shall live by his faith. Yea also, because he transgresses by wine, he is a proud man and he is not content. He widens his desire like the grave, and he is like death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathers all nations to himself, and heaps to himself all the people. Shall not all these lift up a parable against him, and a mocking riddle against him, and say, ‘Woe to him who increases what is not his! How long then, shall he heap up many pledges upon himself?’
Shall not your creditors who strike you rise up suddenly, and those who oppress you awake, and you become a prize to them? Because you have stripped many nations, all the rest of the people shall strip you; because of men’s blood, and the violence of the land, of the city, and of all who dwell in it. Woe to him who robs evil gain for his house, to set his nest on high, to be delivered from the power of evil! You have devised ignominy to your house, to make an end of many people, and are sinning against your soul, For the stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer it.
Woe to him who builds a town with blood, and establishes a city by iniquity! Behold, is it not the Lord of hosts that the people labor for the fire; yea, and the nations weary themselves only for vanity? For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
Woe to him who gives his neighbor drink, mixing in your venom to make him drunk, that you may gaze upon their nakedness! You are filled with shame instead of glory; drink also, and be seen as the one uncircumcised! The cup of the Lord’s right hand shall turn upon you, and disgrace shall be your glory. For the violence of Lebanon shall cover you, and the destruction of beasts shall terrify them because of the blood of man, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all those dwelling in it.
What does an image profit, for its maker has carved it: a molten image, and a teacher of lies? For does the maker trust in his work—which are but dumb idols? Woe to him who says to the wood, ‘Awake!’ To a dumb stone, ‘Arise!’ Can it teach? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, yet no breath is in its midst. But the Lord is in His holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before Him.”
A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet concerning erring ones: O Lord, I have heard the report about You; I am afraid. O Lord, give new life to Your work in the midst of years; in the midst of years make it known; in wrath remember compassion.
God comes from Teman, and the Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah. His glory covers the heavens, and His praise fills the earth. And His brightness is as the light; rays of power from His hand are His, and there is the hiding of His power. A plague went before Him, and lightning went forth at His feet. He stood and measured the earth; He looked and shook nations, and the everlasting mountains were shattered; the eternal hills bowed down. His ways are everlasting.
I saw the tents of Cushan under calamity; the curtains of the land of Midian trembled. Was the Lord displeased against rivers? Or was Your anger against the rivers? Or Your wrath against the sea, that You ride upon Your horses, upon Your chariots of victory? You brandish Your naked bow according to the oaths of the arrows of Your word. Selah. You have cleaved the earth with rivers. The mountains have seen You and they tremble. The overflowing water passed over; the deep uttered its voice and lifted up its hands on high. The sun and moon stood still in their lofty dwellings. At the light of Your arrows they go, and at the shining of Your glittering spear.
You march through the land in indignation; You thresh nations in anger. You went forth for the salvation of Your people, for salvation with Your anointed. You struck the head out of the house of the wicked, to lay bare the foundation even to the neck. Selah. You pierced through the head of his warriors with his own shafts; they storm out as a whirlwind to scatter me; their rejoicing is to devour the meek secretly. You trod upon the sea with Your horses, through the foaming of mighty waters.
I heard and my inward parts trembled; my lips quivered at the sound. Rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself that I should wait for the day of trouble; when he comes up against the people, that he invades. Though the fig tree shall not blossom, and the fruit shall not be on the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no food. The flocks shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls;
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength, and He will make my feet like deer’s feet, and He will make me to walk upon my high places.
To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.
The words are from yesterday but are a warning for tomorrow also. So many people laugh it off as myths and legends, but the truth is, the Bible is 100% correct in time and on schedule. Everything that the Bible speaks of has already happened or is going to take place soon or in the future. The words of Habakkuk concerning the future coming of the Lord lines up perfectly with the other prophets despite being years apart or given in different times. The New Testament is also clear on the judgments of God concerning mankind whether you choose to believe it or not and as I have earlier written, our opinions and beliefs mean absolutely nothing on that day of anger when he returns. No weapon devised by the hand of man can withstand Him, no hiding beneath the waves or on the dark side of the moon and there will be no consultations with any group or organization or political representatives because every man, woman, and child will be running in fear for their lives! There will be no cities remaining, and all mountains will be flattened and no islands to be found when He returns to punish mankind for their rebellious ways! The day of the Lord is approaching, but who will listen?g
I find it hard to imagine that so many are willing to believe the lies without so much as taking the time to listen to reason! The Bible is the written word of God and Jesus, His Son, is the Living word, and these two bear witness to the truths contained, but still, the man refuses to listen, much less believe! So instead of turning away from sin, he presses deeper into it, going further astray and more determined to do it his way although history stands as a silent witness against him and his folly! What more can a righteous God do? Man is stiff-necked and hard-hearted and refuses to bow down to correction! He scorns the pearls of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding and throws them down at the feet of the swine who turn and trample them into the mud! He chooses to build his house on the sand instead of on the rock and casts aside the cornerstone that would have made the house strong for all time!
So run to some religion that will accept you as you are or pursue new age knowledge or scan the skies for the newest ufo’s, but you won’t increase in understanding. Pursue words of wisdom from the philosophers and follow the works of the alchemists and observe the medical advances that are designed to give, sustain, and finally, take life, but they can’t lengthen yours when the time is up. You can read all the works of man, but like old cobwebs in the attic, they fade into dust, and nothing remains to do except to sweep them away, or haven’t you noticed that the flesh is not immortal but came from the dust of the earth and to dust it shall return? Why is the man so vain in his thinking and why does he presume to know when in fact, his knowledge is very limited?
Has it never occurred to you that theories of this and theories of that, regardless of how impressive they sound or presented on the evening programs, are merely that, theories built on the vain imaginations of the mind and they sweep us away in lies! Because we choose to turn our backs on the Creator of all living things, we have chosen lies to believe in and have surrounded ourselves and immersed ourselves into them without the slightest hesitation! But the day of accountability is approaching, and all the signs that He gave before His coming are being fulfilled, but how would you know or care if you haven’t been warned? And even so, would you listen? The answer, according to His word is a resounding no! Man will not listen, and so things are going to become steadily worse as the time nears, extreme earthquakes and volcano eruptions and other increasing disasters will take place such as the land and water being poisoned. More sicknesses and diseases will appear and take the life of millions upon millions, and the sun will become more intense, and temperatures will rise beyond anything this planet has yet endured. And the man still will not turn to the Creator, but will further harden his heart and worship false gods and demons until the last battle in which man will assemble all the military forces that are left to battle the Son of God at Armageddon, and utterly lose.
So the terrors of the Living God are being sent to a world in rebellion in stages, giving mankind the opportunity again and again to repent, but instead, he only hardens his heart more and more. Even now we are witnessing global changes taking place around us, and they are not natural events, though our alchemists would have us to believe them to be. Demonic forces are on the rise as they play the gray aliens and are to be seen twisting and distorting themselves in the skies above or as glowing orbs. They are there to fool all of those whose names are not written in the Book of Life! Do not believe them nor follow them for they represent death to those who do! In other words, because man chooses to believe the lie and not the truth, God has sent a spirit of delusion to those who will not believe, and sadly, many of those who profess to believe God shall themselves be swept away into the delusion for that is how strong it will be. So if many of the Christians are going to be led astray, how much more the non-believers?
In the end, the choice is up to you, either you believe, or you don’t. When I was a child, I believed everything I had been told until I learned to use the tools in my mind to discern the truth from the lie, I would suggest the same to you in light of the day that is coming.
